The plan was to do our last set of 400's for our training for the Nashville Marathon, we will start doing pace runs next week. We got about an inch of snow last night, which wasn't so bad, as the track was pretty clear, the temp was 19 and 4 with the windchill brrr. The problem was the wind and continuing snow. Half of the track was clear, and half was under a 1/2 inch of ice. We ran a 1 mile warm up (nothing warm about it), then started doing our 400's using half of the track so we had to do a U turn right in the middle. First 2 went ok then it started snowing so hard that you could hardly see the otherside of the track. By lap 4 we were white, covered in snow and at that point it started to get very slippery. By lap 5 you couldn't see the track and you couldn't see the foot prints from our last lap, needless to say it was coming down very hard! We finished a very tough 8 x 400's, did a 1 mile cool down and called it a day. It was a good workout, 8 x 400 1:45-1:50 each (with a u-turn...)
